The Safety & Health Council of Western MO & Ks, a 501 c 3 non profit organization would like to thank you for your continued support in making our community a safer place to live work and play.  We have been in the community since 1916, and teaching traffic schools since the early 1960’s for the Circuit and Municipal Courts.  The Safety & Health Council coordinates all the traffic schools out of our main office located at 5829 Troost Ave.  Classes are currently held in Kansas City Mo, Lee’s Summit Mo and we will soon have a location north Kansas City. 

In the summer of 2007, a study was done in Nebraska to look at traffic diversion programs and look at the recidivism rates of those attending the National Safety Council’s 4 and 8 hour class taught by the local Chapters of National Safety Council.  The program “is successful at reducing future recidivism among course attendees.  More importantly, the course is successful at reducing the issuance of multiple subsequent violations among program participants.”  We feel this Council has improved in our recordkeeping, contacts with our customers, working with individuals to get them into the program and have excelled at having those non completions finally complete the class for the Court systems. The Council does limit the class size to encourage participation and advise clients before they sign up that we anticipate them attending that date, location and time they have selected.  Below are several of the classes we offer:
