We are pleased to announce the Indian Creek Half Marathon, 5K and Walk on April 18 2010 at 8:00AM at the Indian Creek Recreation Center in Overland Park, KS. The Race is limited to the first 1,000 entrants. All who run will recieve a short sleeve "wick-away" runner-stlye-shirt with our race logo. Proceeds from this race will go to benifit the Safety and Health Council's "Safe Kids" programs which provide child passenger seats to families in need in the Kansas City Metro area.

Other Important Race Information
Parking: is located just South and East of the Indian Creek Recreation Center. To access the parking area, take Metcalf Avenue to 105th Street and turn West. You will see plenty of parking on both sides of 105th Street. Please do not park in the Athletic Club of Overland Park's parking lot, we want to save it for their members.
Time Limit: The Half-marathon course closes at the 3 hour mark (11:00 AM).
Awards: will be given to the First Place Male & Female Finishers and the Top Three Male & Female Finishers in each age group for both the Half-marathon & 5K Races. Unclaimed awards can be picked up at the Safety & Health Council office.
Finisher Medals: will be given to All Half-marathon Finishers. Results: will be posted at www.sportskc.com

Race Course Information
Both the Half-marathon & 5K start on Marty adjacent to the Indian Creek Recreation Center, heading South. Both races will run approximately 3/4 mile on the streets, then enter the running trail off of Conser on the West side of the Indian Creek Recreation Center and go West. Watch for Turn Arrows and Mile Markers to help guide you along the route. Water and Sports Drinks will be set up along the course approximately every two miles. Porta Potties will be placed in various locations along the route.

Note: the course is open to pedestrian and bicycle traffic, so please be courteous.
Race fees go directly to benefit The Safety and Health Council of Western Missouri and Kansas's "Safe Kids" Programs which fund car seat programs for needy families in the greater Kansas City Metro area.
