Knowing
how to respond to a first aid or CPR emergency is one of the most important
skills a person can possess. The NSC
first aid & aed course meets the OSHA
requirements and is your tool for trainng employees
or the general public on the latest sklls, techniques
and expertise in life-saving procedures.
The practice and feedback of using related skills in a realistic
situation is integrated into the actual teaching experience. The course can only be taught by certified
instructors and you must register with the National Safety Council to begin
delivering training.
What you will Learn
During
this course you will learn new methods that involve, influence and facilitate
adult learning while refining your teaching skills. The course covers a proven, standardized
method of teaching first aid, CPR & AED with high effectiveness, and you
will be provded with the reasons and dynamics behind
each topic or visual presentation. The
NSC First Aid/CPR & AED course topics include:
Breathing and cardiac
emergencies in adults, infants, and children
Identifying and caring for
bleeding, sudden illnesses and injuries
Preventing Disease transmission
Introduction to AEDs
Upon
successful completion, you will become authorized to teach this course and
receive the complete instructor resource package with NSC First Aid, CPR &
AED instructor manual, student workbook, DVD and instructor CD-ROM.
