The Safety & Health Council is a 501c3 Chapter of the National Safety Council, a not-for-profit community service organization which has been serving the area since 1916. Your Council is dedicated to preventing unintentional injuries where ever they occur. Through our outreach and education programs, we are helping to make our community a safer place to live, work and play.

The National Safety Council saves lives by preventing injuries and deaths at work, in homes and communities, and on the roads, through leadership, research, education and advocacy.

Excerpt From Kansas City Times, August 23, 1916

At a meeting at The Hotel Baltimore yesterday representatives of twelve Kansas City Concerns elected an executive board and organized for the prevention of accidents. It will be called the Kansas City Branch of the National Safety Council.
